MARY OLIVIA ENGLE, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11:40 p.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. She was born on October 18, 1928 in Washington CH, to James and Mary Hidy Hays. She was a 1946 graduate of Washington High School. Mary retired from the Frigidaire Company. She had attended the Staunton and Bloomingburg United Methodist Churches and enjoyed crocheting. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Marion "Jiggs" Engle. Survivors include her dear friends, June and Jasper Kingery. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highlawn Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
