MARY JEAN FOWLER, age 91, of 445 Carolyn Rd., Washington CH, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 1:15 a.m. at the Four Seasons of Washington Nursing Home. She was born on February 5, 1923 in Mt. Sterling to Thomas and Lillian Hornbeck Reichelderfer. She was a graduate of the Madison Mills High School. She retired from the Washington CH Police Department after 30 years of service. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens on Delaware St. Mary Jean was proceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Fowler, her son, David E. Fowler and sister, Medrith Mitchell. Survivors include her son Dan, and his wife Karol Fowler of Washington CH; daughter-in-law Kim Fowler of Jeffersonville; grandchildren Brad and Daniel Fowler of Washington CH and Joshua and Jordyn Fowler of Jeffersonville; great-grandchildren Desiree Williams of Wilmington, Kaelin McCarty, Isiah Williams and Feodore Fowler all of Washington CH; nephew Jim Mitchell of Iowa and niece Pat Mitchell Nicholson of Findlay. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Mell Wickenseimer officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
