MARY L. HOLLIS, age 90, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 8:48 a.m. at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.

She was born on May 15, 1932 in Greenfield, Ohio to the late Glen Hollis and Garnet (Wilson) Hollis-Cokonougher. She was a graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. In her early years, Mary moved to Washington D.C. and worked for the FBI. Mary retired from Kirk's Furniture in Washington CH where she worked as a clerk and bookkeeper for many years.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, James R. Smith.

Survivors include her siblings, Lowell (Joyce) Hollis of Washington CH, Beverly Smith of Springfield, and Rebecca (Hollis) Banner also of Washington CH. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
