MATTHEW ALAN MONGOLD, age 41, of Hillsboro passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Bethesda North in Montgomery. He was born on July 10, 1981 in Fayette County to Jeff and Karla Knisley Mongold, who survive.

Matthew enjoyed gaming, streaming on Twitch and hanging out with his children. Matthew also enjoyed watching football and was a fan was both Michigan and Tampa Bay.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his children, Kimberly Mongold (Isaiah Eleyet), Levi Mongold (Cortlynn Cubbage), Emily Mongold, Eliza Mongold, Nadia Mongold and Treyton Mongold; his grandson, Houston Mongold; his grandmother Shirley Mongold. Other survivors include, the mothers of his children, Ronalee Mongold, Renae Smith and Kelly Taylor and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Matthew was proceeded in death his grandfathers, Don Mongold, Ronald Knisley and Don Snyder, his grandmothers, Mary Snyder and Judy Knisley and his great- grandparents, Phil and Rose Ford and Harold and Violet Mongold; his uncles, Kenneth Harold (Woody), Rodney Mongold and Ed Ford and his aunts, Noreen and Sue Ford.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 in the Summers Funeral Home with Dusty Barrett officiating and cremation will take place following the service. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
