MAXINE DEWEES, age 90, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 5:40 p.m. at the Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on September 10, 1925 in Preston, Minnesota to F.J. and Alma Kautz Ohmacht. She was a graduate of Preston High School where she was the valedictorian of her class. She excelled in the sciences and had worked in the dairy labs in both Minnesota and Columbus, Ohio and later worked at Sears and Montgomery Ward in Washington CH. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Billie Dewees, who passed away on January 13, 2016. Survivors include her sister, Verna Hagan; niece, Ruth Ann Swanson and nephews, John and Jeff Hagan; brother-in-law, Paul (Rebecca) Dewees and sisters-in-law, Lois Milliken and Barbara Dewees. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1702 US Rt. 22 NW, Washington CH, with Elder David Fox officiating.
