MAYFORD TENNEY, age 77, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his home.

He was born on November 2, 1939 in West Virginia to William and Mamie Wamsley Tenney. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and the US Marines and later retired from the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He had attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Survivors include his children, Lyle Tenney, Buddy Tenney, and Rebecca Jones and special cousin, Mark Matheny.

At his request, his ashes will be spread out over the ocean by the US Navy at a later date.
