MERVIN HARRISON "MERV" COULTER, age 76, gained his beautiful wings on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 5:29 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on April 13, 1948 in Fayette County to the late Thurman and Charlotte (Goldsberry) Coulter. He was a graduate of Washington Senior High School. Shortly after graduation, Merv joined the United States Air Force and had a twenty-three year career before retiring. He then moved his family to his hometown of Washington CH in 1989. Merv was a mailman for twenty-one years in the Columbus area. He proudly served the Fayette County Sherriff's Department as an Auxiliary Sherriff; he also had his realtors license. Merv was a man of many hats. In his later years of life after retirement, Merv loved heading south for the winter to Florida with his wife. They owned a second home in the villages, but loved RV life just as well.
In addition to his parents, Merv was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Coulter; and his father and mother-in-law, John and Mary Graham, along with several other family members
Survivors include his beautiful wife, Connie Marie (Graham) Coulter, whom he married on April 6, 1972; twin daughters, Aubrey Johnson, and Christine Coulter, and his son, and best friend, Joshua Coulter; grandchildren, Chacy, Drake, Dasia, Ahliza, and Aiden. Also surviving is his sister, Rosemary Anders and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and so many very special friends from far and wide.
