MICHAEL LAWRENCE GARCIA, age 68, of Bloomingburg, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 7:26 a.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was born on February 7, 1954 in St. Clair County, Illinois to the late Michael Johnson and Shirley Mae (Middleton) Garcia. Michael obtained his GED and worked as a Chef until his health would no longer allow. He was a faithful member at the Christ Victory Church in Bloomingburg. Michael was known among his friends as the, "Happy Camper."

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his special friends and caregivers, Pastor Richard "Creed" and Loretta Thomas.

Survivors include his daughter, Michaela Garcia; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Michael Clark; and special friends, Donnie and Tonya Fleak.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Christ Victory Church, 26 Bowers St., Bloomingburg, OH 43106 with Rev. Billy McCoy officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
