Obituary

MICHAEL HOWARD "MIKE" MALLOW, age 63, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:19 p.m. at his home while surrounded by his beloved family.

He was born on November 17, 1958 in Franklin County to the late Charles Lewis and Marilyn Jean (Thompson) Mallow. He was a 1977 graduate of Washington High School. Mike proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and later in the Ohio National Guard. He was currently employed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at Deer Creek State Park. Mike was a very patriotic and prideful man, his passion for seeing his commitments through in his organizations were his world. He was a proud Charter Member of the Washington CH Chapter of the USVMC, former Commander of the American Legion Post 25, Charter Member and former President of the Washington CH American Legion Riders, lifetime member of the AMVETS and a member of the VFW Post 3762. Mike's time consisted of riding his Harley Davidson any chance he could get. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, karaoke for his audiences and spending time with his family and his friends, which were always treated as family.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Brown.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Bonny Kay (Bentley) Mallow, whom he married on May 27, 1989; children, Kaylee E. Mallow and her significant other, Mike Brown, Jason C. (Aleah) Mallow and Misty L. (Tim) Klenoski; grandchildren, Tate Mallow, and Jacob, Elijah, Charlie, and Tony Klenoski; special niece, Amatha Farrens; niece Anora (Shane) Brooke; nephew Todd (Amanda) Brown; and great nieces and nephews, Carly Farrens, Reagan Brooke, Avery Brooke and Austin Brown. Also surviving are the club brothers and numerous friends that felt like family to him.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 25, 1240 US Highway 22 NW, Washington CH, OH 43160. Family and friends may visit at the American Legion on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
