MICHAEL DAVID STEGALL, age 59, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at his home. He was born on October 11, 1954 in Clark County to the late Willie Ray and Genevieve Wilson Stegall. He had worked for more than 34 years in law enforcement working as a Dispatcher at the WCH Police Department then retired as a Sergeant with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office. He was a 1973 Miami Trace High School graduate. He enjoyed visiting Gatlinburg, fishing and loved spending time with his family. Michael is survived by his wife Genie Mossbarger Stegall, whom he married on August 24, 1980; his children Justin, and his wife Leslie Stegall and Matthew Garrett Stegall; grandchildren Cameron and Dylen Stegall; brother Larry (Lori) Stegall; in-laws Kenneth and Gloria Mossbarger as well as a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church, 1867 US Rt. 35 NW, with Danny Dodds officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
