MICHAEL D. STRAIGHT, age 61, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his home while surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 13, 1962 in Lawton, Oklahoma to the late Ronald and Julia (Puckett) Straight. He was a graduate of Northeastern High School in Springfield, Ohio. Michael was employed as an electrician where he would work on large cranes. Michael and his wife, Barbara would attend Heritage Church when his health would allow. He was known for his passion for motorcycles, fast cars, boating and fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Ann (Gorman) Straight, whom he married on August 25, 2001; his daughters, Melissa (Gabe) Putnam, and Amber Hawk; grandchildren, Allisha Putnam, Izabell Clayton, Hunter Putnam, Tesla Blanken, Vaughn Blanken, Trenton Henize, and Ayva Shreffler; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Gina Fishbough, and Kimberly (Chris) Hammond; and sisters-in-law, Sherry (Bobby) Newton, Billie (John) Terry, and Lesa Karber and her significant other, Neil Wolfe. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the Summers Funeral Home from 11-1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery at a later date.
