MINNIE IRENE "MINI" CHANEY, age 68, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 4:32 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

She was born on December 26, 1949 in Fayette County to Robert Lee and Violet Irene Stookey Everhart. She was a 1967 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Mini had been employed at Truck Stops of America as their restaurant supervisor. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Royal Chapter #29. Mini was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, and being with her family.

Mini was preceded in death by her parents; infant grandsons, Dustin and Bradley Chaney; brother, Robert Everhart; sister-in-law, Judy Everhart; and brothers-in-law, Nelson Chaney, and Jack Trowbridge.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Lee Chaney, whom she married on August 4, 1973; children, Craig (Jeni) Chaney, Cari (Craig) Shirey, and Chris (Chrissie) Chaney; grandchildren, Timmy Chaney, Katie Beth Chaney, Jake Harris, Katie Harris, Madisen Shirey, Colby Shirey, Christian Chaney, and Gabe Chaney; siblings, Randy Everhart, and Brenda (David) Estilette; sister-in-law, Dorothy Trowbridge; and brothers-in-law, Gordon (Marion) Chaney, Lawrence Chaney, and John (Anita) Chaney. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-8:00 p.m.
