MIRIAM CAROL HUMBLE, age 80, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 10:10 a.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor Nursing Home. She was born on November 18, 1933 in Champaign County to L. B. and Alta Crawford VanHoose. She spent her life as a Pastor's Wife, sharing in his ministry and raising their family. Together they enjoyed church activities, attending camp meetings and dining out. She was very devoted to her family and she took great delight in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Rev. Donald Lee Humble who passed away on December 28, 2013 and sister, Virginia VanHoose at infancy. Survivors include her children Ron (Thelma) Humble of Dayton, Sue (Greg) Greer and Sherry (Randy) Turner both of Washington CH; grandchildren Donald Humble, Angelica Humble, Randi (Joey) Langley, Lee Greer, Cori Greer, Jessie, Chase and Rachel Enochs and Andrew Turner; six great-grandchildren as well as her church family and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Community Church with Dr. David VanHoose and Pastor Jay Lucas officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Fayette County, 222 N.
