NATHAN "NATE" BOLTON, age 69, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 8:40 p.m. at his home. He was born on July 6, 1946 in Fayette County to Dr. William and Thelma Whitehorse Bolton. He was a Washington High School graduate. Nate had been employed by Mead Container for 26 years and was the owner and operator of Fayette Flag and Banner for 38 years. Nate proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard. He was a member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church where he grew up as a child and had also served as an acolyte in his younger years. He was a member of the Washington Shrine Club, the Masonic Lodge #309 of Frankfort, the American Legion where he twice served as commander and served as 7th District Commander from 1987-1988. Nate was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Bill Stoughton, and his grandson, Eric Lyons. Survivors include his wife, Alberta Willis Bolton, whom he married on March 23, 1984; his son, Andrew Bolton; step-daughters, Kathy (Dion) Poole, Teresa Bellar and Lisa (Larry) Woods; step-sons, Darrell Posey, Allen Posey and Bart (Stacey) Posey; several grand and great-grandchildren; brothers Tim Bolton, Dr. Randy Bolton; step-brother Randy Kingery; half-brothers Stephen Bolton, Bill Bolton and John Bolton; half-sisters Mary Bolton and Ruth (Iva) Martin as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved canine companion, Zubuel. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with Rev. Gayle Hansen Browne officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the Summers Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with a Masonic service to follow and all are welcome.
