NORMA JEAN MASSIE, age 84, of Bloomingburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.
She was born on May 2, 1942 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Jack and Dorothy (McNeal) Kinnison. Norma was a homemaker, caregiver, and she also worked for Beaters Auto Sales in Washington CH. She attended the Washington Avenue House of Prayer until her health would no longer allow. She enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, going to yard sales, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Massie, Jr.; daughter, Kathy Ann Harper; grandsons, Jerry Lee Harper, Jr., and Derrick Scott Massie; and siblings, Richard Kinnison, Dean Kinnison, and Donna Cross.
Survivors include her children, Larry Dean (Barb) Massie, Lora Ann Daugherty, and Juanita Massie; grandchildren, Shane Michael (Crystal) Harper, Amanda (Glen) Thomas, Tameeka Graves, and Jay (Rachael) Graves; great-grandchildren, Ozzy, Blayden, and Salem; and special friend, Ruth Holliday. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Butcher officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m.
