NORMA 'JEAN' PHILLIPS, age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 7:38 p.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. She was born on July 22, 1927 in Blaze, Kentucky to Clarence and Tina Hunt Lewis. She had worked as an Avon Sales Representative and also for Longaberger Baskets. She was a member of the Heritage Memorial Church where she had been active in the bus ministry in her earlier years. She was passionate about her relationship with the Lord and shared her love for Him wherever she went. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glennis 'Drew' Phillips, sisters Anna Haney, Marjorie Lewis, Rosemary Lewis, brother Willard Lewis, half-brothers Howard and Harold Lewis and half-sister Mae Lewis. Survivors include her son Larry, and his wife Chris Phillips of Washington CH; grandchildren Dr. Tony (Karen) Phillips and Marcie (Shane) Haubeil, all of Chillicothe; great-grandchildren Samantha and Bobi Jo Spencer, Brooke Haubeil and Drew and Jonah Phillips; brother Dale (Pat) Lewis of Kentucky as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church with Pastor Bruce Morrison and Rev. Joe Duvall officiating with burial to follow at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Springfield. Friends may call at the church, 1867 US Rt. 35 NW, on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
