NORMA MARIE PIERSON, age 87, of Columbus, formerly of New Holland, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 7:59 a.m. at Kobacher House. She was born on June 10, 1928 in Washington CH, to Lote and Hazel Parkison Gilmore. She was a homemaker. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Pierson, siblings, Kenton, James, Wilma and Emma. Survivors include her children Linda (David) Jenkins, Charlotte Behling, and Charles W. Pierson; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings, Mary Donohoe, Donna Liming, Tom (Betty) Gilmore, Dale (Phyllis) Gilmore and Danny (Sue) Gilmore as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at the Sabina Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
