ORA R.F. "DICK" MCKINNEY, age 84, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 6:25 p.m. at the Georgetown Ohio Veterans Home.

He was born on July 22, 1933 in Sabina, Ohio to Albert and Olive Bush McKinney. Dick proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He had attended the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and the South Side Church of Christ. Dick served as a former Commander for the Fayette County Honor Guard for many years and was a member of the American Legion Post #25, the VFW Post# 4964, and The Eagles of Fayette County. He enjoyed collecting coins and belt buckles, fishing, hunting, and being with his family.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Elsie McKinney; and brothers, Kenneth McKinney, and Charles McKinney.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Sandra Lou Mossbarger McKinney, whom he married on May 10, 2008; his children, Greg McKinney, and Glenis (Scott) Longworth; step-children; Jeff (Rose) Mossbarger, and Jim (Brenda) Mossbarger; grandchildren, Sean McKinney, Justin Longworth, and Clayton Longworth; step-grandson, Justin Brown; great-grandchildren, Chris McKinney, and Haley Johnson; step-great-granddaughters, Brooke Mossbarger, and Ashleigh Mossbarger; sister, Lilly McComb; and sister-in-law, Donna McKinney. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the South Side Church of Christ with Danny Dodds officiating. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In keeping with Dick's wishes, cremation will take place after the service.
