December 2, 1938 – May 18, 2019
PASTOR DONALD DEAN "DON" DILLON, age 80, of Washington CH, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 5:17 p.m. at Court House Manor.
He was born on December 2, 1938 in LaGrange, Missouri to Watson and Betsy Dillon. Don attended Cedarville University. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. Don preached the gospel and ministered all over the country and also worked as a logger for many years. He was the founder and Pastor of the Gregg Street Worship Center and was also in charge of the food distribution for Fayette County. He enjoyed pastoring, logging, riding his four-wheeler, sharing the Word of God to people and spending time with his grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Deana D. Dillon, and Brenda S. Adams; siblings, Bob Dillon, Bill Dillon, Jack Dillon, and Mary Dillon; and son-in-law, John Newell.
Survivors include the love of his life, Patricia Sue (Robertson) Dillon, whom he married on November 21, 1957; daughter, Julie E. Newell; grandchildren, Jason D. Adams, Brent C. Adams, and Stacey L. Adams; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Haley, Faith, Gloriana, Malachi, Sophia, Gracie, and Patricia. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Linda Lou (Greg) Smith, Suzie Beekman, and all of his church family.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gregg Street Worship Center, 424 Gregg St., Washington CH, OH 43160, with Joy Stanforth officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
