PATRICIA "PAT" J. ELRICH, age 77, of Washington Court House, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 12:14 a.m. at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center Columbus. She was born on December 3, 1936 in Washington Court House, Ohio to William and Garnet Streitenberger Merritt. She worked at the Fayette County Health Department for over twelve years and eleven years at the Chillicothe Correctional Institute. Her most enjoyable moments were being with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, board games and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son William K. Elrich Jr., brothers Floyd, Carl, Leo, Marion and Billie, sisters Kathryn, Joanne and Barbara. She is survived by her children Patti (Randy) Myers of Chambersburg, PA, Robert (Cindy) Elrich of WCH, John (Lana) Elrich of WCH, Teri (J.D.) Williams of Williamsport, OH, Jim (Marsha) Elrich of WCH, Jane (Mike) Bane of Chillicothe, and Matthew Elrich of WCH, 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and expecting soon two more great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 11am at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial in the Sugar Grove Methodist Cemetery.
