PATRICIA JANE "PATTY" EVANS, age 80, of Jeffersonville, left this world to be reunited with her lost loved ones on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

She was born to J. W. "Boots" Sears and Annalee (Cummings) Sears on August 14, 1941, and was a lifelong resident of the Jeffersonville community.  She was married to Dale Jay Evans on October 27, 1959.

Patty is survived by her children, Susie (Larry) Mayer, Deanna Evans, Roberta (Jason Alexander) Evans, and Scott (Kristen Helsel) Evans; grandchildren, Kathy (Mike) Krol, Chris (Dana) Mayer, Dale Mayer, Matthew Evans, Paisley Evans, Emma Alexander and Balen and Frankie Helsel; great-grandchildren, Tobin and Hudson Krol and Brooks Mayer.  Also surviving are brother Douglas (Debby) Sears, brother-in-law Gary (Ginny) Evans as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Evans, brother Ronnie Sears, mother and father Annalee and Boots Sears, and dear friends Richard "Dick" and Ruthie Thornberry and their daughter, Susan.

Patty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who always went above and beyond to care for her family and loved ones.  Her sense of humor was something of a legend, and you always knew she would speak her mind no matter who was watching or listening.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of having known and loved her.

She was a long-time beautician, served on the Fayette County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and was a 46 year member of the Jefferson Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Viewing will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Kevin L. Sharrett officiating.  Both will be held at the Jeffersonville Masonic Lodge, 21 S. Main St., in Jeffersonville with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Order of the Eastern Star, Jefferson Chapter #300, PO Box 1, Jeffersonville, OH 43128 or to the Fayette County Board of DD, Community First Program, 1330 Robinson Rd., Washington CH, OH 43160, in her memory.
