PATRICIA ANN STRALEY RUTTER, age 59, of Columbus, Ohio passed away at her parent's home in Washington CH on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Heaven received an angel back into the fold. She was born on April 13, 1955 in Washington CH to the late Delmar Straley and Rosemary Leeth Straley. She was a 1973 Washington High School graduate. Patty is survived by her mother Rosemary Straley, her husband Carl Rutter and his son, Matthew Rutter; her children Patrick Knisley (Candice and Cody) and Ray (Libby) Knisley and the newest addition to the family, a three month old granddaughter name Raelyn Elizabeth Knisley whom Patty lived to see, enjoy and love; siblings Paul Douglas Straley and Vickie Straley as well as her in-laws, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. After a four year battle with cancer, she was finally called home. A gentle warrior of life and love, she was an avid and adept gardener with a green thumb matched in size only by her heart. She was a lifelong printer with a creative spirit. She started at Moore's Print Shop while in high school and retired from the print shop at Ohio Farm Bureau. She was a completely giving soul, with such a big heart. Patty was unable to turn away anyone who was in need. Her endless kindness, generosity and compassion have touched the lives of countless people. While her body is returned from whence it came, her legacy lives on, here on Earth. She is undoubtedly at peace in eternal rest. At her request, no service will be held other than a private service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
