PATRICK JOSEPH RILEY, age 92, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born on November 13, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Joseph Franklin and Attie Ione (Kleisner) Riley. He graduated from East High School in Columbus in 1951. After high school, Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until 1956. White stationed in Portland, Oregon, he met and married his wife, Agnes (Concini) Riley on November 19, 1955. Patrick and Agnes were blessed with two children, Timothy Riley of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Maureen (Jeff) Riley of Columbus, Ohio.
Patrick attended college at Portland State and The Ohio State University, from which he graduated in 1961. Patrick’s working experience was in sales and administration with American Aggregates Corp. and his last ten years; he was the sanitarian for the Fayette County Health Department. Patrick embraced life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and was an avid Ohio State fan.
Patrick has resided in Washington CH since 1974. He was an active member in several different clubs including; Washington Country Club, Washington CH Lions Club, Washington CH Elks #129, American Legion Post 25, Free & Accepted Masons, and the Washington Aladdin Shrine Club.
Patrick leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Agnes; two children; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church, 219 S. North St., Washington CH, OH 43160 or to Fayette County Commission on Aging, 1179 S. Elm St., Washington CH, OH 43160.
