PAUL EUGENE BAIN, age 82, of Washington CH, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
He was born on March 16, 1943 in Fayette County to the late Paul E. and Isabelle (Bunch) Bain. He was in the first graduating class at Miami Trace High School. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army. He held many occupations through the years including; seventeen years with Pennington Bakery, farming, owner of Bain's Sports Cage and Collectibles, song writer, and a part time employee and honorary Chaplain at Summers Funeral Home. He was also heavily involved in the Nursing Home and Prison Ministries. Paul was a longtime member at the Heritage Memorial Church. He enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, auction houses, fishing, hunting, camping, attending sports events, and he was very proud of playing football on the first team ever at Miami Trace.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann (Bogenrife) Bain, whom he married on September 23, 1966; his beloved daughter, Paula Ann Bain; and brothers, Thomas E. Bain, and Larry Bain.
Survivors include his daughter, Sherri (Bradley) Robinson; grandchildren, Brady Robinson, Charles Parks and his fiancé, Brittany Redding, April Parks, and Larry Parks; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda (Larry) Wright, Barb (Tony) Walters, Diane (Rex) Hawkins, Sandra Bain, Robert (Cindy) Bain, and Rick Fagan; and sister-in-law, Candace Bain. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, along with a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place Church, 240 Courthouse Pkwy, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Rev. Joe Duvall and Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
