PAUL C. CUMMINGS, age 77, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Mount Carmel Grove City.

He was born on April 4, 1944 in Fayette County to Paul and Jeanne (Boyer) Cummings. He was a 1962 graduate of Washington High School. Paul proudly served his country in the US Army from 1965-1971; he had also served in The Ohio Army National Guard. He enjoyed taking care of his farm animals which included chickens, cows, goats, and dogs.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Paul Cummings, III; and sister, Constance "Connie" Huff.

Survivors include his children, Kristi Cummings of Washington CH, David (Katie Hyer) Cummings of Bloomingburg, and Jenny (David) Riley of Washington CH; grandchildren, Jason Cummings, Randall Norman, Abby and DJ Riley, Jaramiah and Zerinity Cummings, Tayler Sisson, Xzavier Palfrey, and Lilyan Morris; great-grandchildren, Jevan and Xander Cummings; and brother-in-law, Ronald Huff. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Jordan officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
