PAUL V. JOHNSON, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 6:15 p.m. after a brief stay at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.

He was born on February 12, 1935 in Letcher County, Kentucky to Homer and Nora (Jones) Johnson. He was a 1953 graduate of Middletown High School and a 1958 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Paul retired from Armco Steel. He was a faithful member at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington CH. Paul was inducted into the Middletown High School, Butler County, and the Washington High School Sports Hall of Fame; he also had a four-decade career with the Blue Lion Football team as their public address announcer. He enjoyed attending sporting events that his grandchildren participated in and was an avid golfer.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Don Johnson, and Jim Johnson.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Carmen (Bloomer) Johnson, whom he married on June 29, 1957; his children, Loree (Neil) Spears, and Scott (Kim) Johnson; grandchildren, Tyler Spears, Brodie Spears, Lacee Baisch, Connor Johnson, Sean Johnson, and Christian Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Spears, Rylee Spears, Joel Spears, Libby Spears, and Tazmen Baisch. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.

In keeping with Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
