Obituary

RACHAEL RACHELLE ALLEN, age 42, of Medina, Ohio, formerly of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026 at HMC Hospice of Medina County, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on January 31, 1984 in Columbus, Ohio to John Samuel and Tammy Sue (Dearth) Ogden. She was a 2002 graduate of Fayette Christian School and went on to graduate from The Ohio State School of Cosmetology. Rachael loved doing hair and making others feel beautiful. She attended the Medina Assembly of God in Medina where her husband is the Pastor. She enjoyed working out, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Rachael was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rev. Carl and Charlotte Ogden, and her maternal grandfather, William Dearth.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Adam Scott Allen, whom she married on October 2, 2004; her son, Gavin Matthew Allen; parents, John and Tammy Ogden; brother, Daniel Chirstopher (Bethany) Ogden; niece, Adalynn Grace Ogden; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence Dale and Brenda Joyce Allen; brother-in-law, Rodney Dale (Carrie) Allen; niece, Cheyenne (Zac) Thomas; nephew, Hunter Allen; and maternal grandmother, Betty Dearth. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place Church, 240 Courthouse Pkwy, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Shaun Howard officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Thursday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. A private burial will be held at the Washington Cemetery.
