RALPH VERNON BURGESS, age 89, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 17, 1934 in Fayette County to the late Robert Lee and Nellie Francis (Stover) Burgess. He married the former Vivian Harrison on July 8, 1954, who still survives.

Ralph had worked as a farm mechanic and truck driver for many years. He was one member of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended Kingdom Hall in Washington CH. Ralph had a passion for trucks of any kind, old tractors and farm equipment. He enjoyed working in the yard and tending to his garden.

In addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, survivors include his children; Ronald Burgess, Sandra Harrison, David (Louise) Burgess, Kerry Megie, and Kelly (Jay) Waterbury; sister, Sarah Jane Coil; and close friend. David Jamison. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

In keeping with Ralph's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Highlawn Cemetery.
