RAY THOMAS MANNS, age 66, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 4:45 p.m. at his home.
He was born on August 29, 1948 in Fayette County to Harley and Rowena Houser Manns. He had been a 41 year employee at Reiterman's Grain and Feed. He had attended the Christ Victory Church where he enjoyed serving the Lord. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels as well as vacationing with his family at Virginia Beach.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Martha Manns, Annabelle McCulla and Jean Elkins and brother, Leroy Manns. He was also preceded in death by his canine friend, Mason.
Survivors include his wife Linda Thomas Manns, whom he married on June 16, 1967; his children Pam (Paul) Blankenship of Bloomingburg, Tim (Angie) Manns, Brad (Kareal) Manns of Washington CH and John (Kirsten) Manns of Bloomingburg; grandchildren Paige Blankenship, Cassidy Manns, Nick Manns, Marla Manns, Megan Manns and Chris Luckado; step-grandchildren Holly and Thomas Vermillion; siblings Carolyn Cooper, Shirley Hayes, Donna (Eddie) Thomas, Clarence Manns, Larry Manns and Lester (Steph) Manns as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Creed Thomas officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
