RAYMOND ORVILLE ROBINSON, age 93, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at his home.
He was born on November 4, 1930 in Scioto County, Ohio to the late William W. and Helen M. (Mershon) Robinson. Raymond attended Washington City Schools. He had worked at NCR until they closed in the 1970s and relocated to the Chillicothe Prison System where he worked as a pharmacy technician. He was a faithful member at the Court House Nazarene Church. He enjoyed woodworking, raising beautiful gardens, fishing, collecting arrowheads, and being with his family.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Leslie Robinson, and Chris Ackley; siblings, Wayne Robinson, Floyd Robinson, Joe Robinson, and Betty Noel; son-in-law, Billy Cummings; sister-in-law, Betsy Speelman; brother-in-law, John Short; and his beloved canine companion, Winston.
Survivors include his loving wife, Phyllis Arlene (Short) Robinson, whom he married on June 21, 1952; children, Marsha Cummings, Randy (Debbie) Robinson, and Eva (Averon) Ackley; grandchildren, Chelsey (Doug) Neal, Kandi (Patrick) Williams, Nicholas (Sunny) Cummings, Kellie (Aaron) Dhume, Katie Chamblin, Aaron Ackley, and Adam Ackley; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Hunter, Tyler, Hannah, Hayden, Beccah, Abby, Lukas, Easton, Audrey, Lila, Nori, Cain, and Christian; and siblings, Ruth Hart, Carolyn Stallman, and Herman Robinson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Court House Nazarene Church, 990 Highland Ave, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Rev. Dan McLean officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m.
