RICHARD "DICK" D. EDWARDS, age 86, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his home.

He was born on May 28, 1932 in Jeffersonville, Ohio to Dwight and Esther Smith Edwards. He was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School. Dick retired from Ferno-Washington Incorporated after forty-one years of service. He was a long-time member of the Knight Runners Car Club. He enjoyed watching The Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes, shooting pool, old cars, and watching game shows.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leota "Dodie" M. Rodgers Edwards, whom he married on September 6, 1953; brothers, Gene Pierce, Don Edwards, Meade "Lum" (Margaret) Edwards; and brothers-in-law, Clarence White, Johnny Harrison, and Beryl Raypole,

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bill Jones; grandchildren, Jaime (Jeff) Hulligan, and Thadd (Amy) Jones; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Trevor, and Kalvin; siblings, Barbara White, Phyllis (Don) Joseph, and Ruthie Raypole. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Mell Wickensimer officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
