RICHARD EARL LOYD, JR., age 72, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 9:57 a.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

He was born on January 12, 1948 in Greene County to Richard Earl Sr. and Helen Louise Strickle Loyd. Richard proudly served in the US Army and the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He retired in 2012 after sixteen years of service from R&L Carriers in Wilmington where he had worked as an inspector. He enjoyed golfing in his younger years, scratch-off lottery tickets, crossword puzzles, and was an avid Ohio State fan.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and his best friend, Jerry Wolfe.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ann Baughn Loyd; son, Richard Earl Loyd III; step-children, Marianne Guzman, Jesse (Felicia) Hall, and Patricia Sciacca; nine grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark Loyd, Wes Loyd, Sam Loyd, and Teresa Raypole; and brother-in-law, Randy (Becky) Baughn. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville with Pastor Tom Knauff officiating.
