RICHARD DALE SPILLMAN, age 80, of Washington CH, passed peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 7:57 a.m. He was born on May 23, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to George and Marcella Gildersleeve Spillman. He was a 1953 graduate of West High School. He worked as a truck driver for 50 years. He served in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict from January 1953 to July 1956. He was a member of the Gregg St. Worship Center. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren, Steven and Joseph Michael. Survivors include his wife, Connie Locey Spillman, whom he married on March 4, 1978; his children Jessica Fyffee, Shelly (Joe) Morrison, Georgia Kay (Tom) Dyer and Amy (Terry) McClary; grandchildren, Misty Dawn (Bill) Murphy, Shianna, Ashley Rachelle, Shyan Mackay, Payton Marie; several great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gregg St. Worship Center with Pastor Don Dillon officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
