RITA F. KING, age 60, of New Holland, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10:40 p.m. at the OSU Medical Center. She was born on September 4, 1955 in Chester, West Virginia to Edward and Lena Monroe Richards. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and Southern State Community College. She had worked as a registered nurse with Hospice of Fayette County, and had also worked as the Director of Nursing at Crestwood Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed all types of flowers, roses, gardening, cooking and reading but most of all spending time with her family. Rita was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandson. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Robert "Bob" King; her children Barbie (David) Chain, Kelly Rhoads, Connie Darlington and Nicole (Lewis) Myers; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother Charles (Cathy) Richards as well as a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
