IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Lee
Bain, Sr.
January 21, 1946 – March 17, 2026
ROBERT LEE BAIN, SR., age 80, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Court House Manor, while surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 21, 1946 in Fayette County to the late Paul E. Bain, Sr., and Isabelle (Bunch) Bain.
Robert lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked as a truck driver for forty-five years, touching countless lives on the road and in his community. Robert had quick wit and loved telling jokes, fishing, and gardening. His loyal canine companions, Lucy and Lilly, were always by his side and in his final days, his grand dog, Luna, stayed protectively by his side, comforting him until he took his final breath.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-nine years, Cynthia Mae (Fredrick) Bain; his children, Robert, Jr. (Regina) Bain, Kristy McLaughlin, Kevin Bain, and Tony Davis; cherished grandchildren, Kyle McLaughlin (Caitlyn), Hunter Bain, Sierra Bain, Brandon Bain, Kaylie Bain, Tyler Adams, and Taylor Callender; several great-grandchildren; nephew, Matt (Misty) Bain; and siblings, Brenda (Larry) Wright, and Barb (Tony) Walters. Also surviving are several loving nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends who will fondly remember his humor, his kindness, and his ornery smile.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death his brothers, Larry Bain, Thomas E. Bain, Stanley Mark, and Paul E. Bain; sister-in-law, Beverly Bain; and niece, Paula Bain.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice, especially to his favorite nurse, Tracy Nicols, social worker, Julie Ream, and caregiver, Lexie Brown for the compassionate care shown to Robert and his family.
Robert Lee Bain, Sr. will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose laughter and love of life will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
