ROBERT EUGENE BISHOP, age 79, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 1:36 a.m. at the Greenfield Skilled Nursing Facility.

He was born on June 3, 1943 in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Joseph and Helen (Wethington) Bishop. Robert proudly served his county in the US Navy from 1960-1964 during the Vietnam Era. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy, Robert began his career of driving semi-trucks around the United States and retiring after 41 years and many miles on the road. After retirement, he worked part-time in security at Fayette County Memorial Hospital and the Carnegie Public Library. Robert was a member at Crossroads Christian Church. He enjoyed flying model airplanes at the YMCA, fishing, and reading his Bible.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold Bishop, Loren "Jack" Bishop, and Nancy Lee Spaeth.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Ann (Ford) Bishop, whom he married on April 20, 2013; his children, Loren (Mandy) Joseph, Angela Marino, and Michael Scott Bishop; several grandchildren; sister, Judith (Mike) Rader; and special friend, Morgan Wood. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crossroads Christian Church, 175 Halliday Way, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Adam Lynch and Pastor Keith Clary officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Crossroads Christian Church.
