"Bob" Spradlin

ROBERT LEE "BOB" SPRADLIN, age 81, of Washington CH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 4:20 p.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born on May 30, 1939 in Orient, Ohio to Thurman and Bessie (O'Brien) Spradlin. He was a 1957 graduate of Derby High School. Bob was a lifelong farmer in the local area; and retired from the City of Columbus where he was supervisor over sewers and drains. He was a faithful member at the Greenfield Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon for several years. He enjoyed farming, gardening, playing cards, puzzling, and being with his family and granddaughter.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Shirley Mae Howard Spradlin; son, Jeffrey Scott Spradlin; and siblings, Brad Spradlin, Wendell Spradlin, and Wilford Spradlin.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Bryan Spradlin, whom he married on August 1, 2013; his daughters, Jennifer (Tom) Hall, and Amanda (Michael) Pack; step-children, James David Arledge, and Brenda Arledge and her significant other, Ron Brown; granddaughter, Aurora Lilly Pack; siblings, Victor Spradlin, Jewel Nida, Kenny Spradlin, and Marvin (Susan) Spradlin; and sister-in-law, Carol Spradlin. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds and Steve Henderson officiating with burial to follow at the Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Those in attendance must wear facial coverings and are asked to adhere to social-distancing recommendations.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
