ROBERT ELDON "BOBBY" PENWELL JR., age 63, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 11:11 a.m. at Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Westerville.

He was born on December 10, 1956 in Fayette County to Robert Sr. and LuLu Cottrell Penwell-Haines. He had attended Washington High School. Robert proudly served his country in the US Army. Robert had worked in the concrete business for most of his life; he retired after many years from Conserve Concrete Construction Services in Washington CH. He enjoyed working and being with his boys.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenny Jones, and Terry Stolzenburg; sister-in-law, Mary Stolzenburg; and brother-in-law, Neil DeWitt.

Survivors include his children, Robert Eldon III (Jewel) Penwell, Judy Rachelle Smith, Ashley Sue (Shawn) Truman, Miguel Antonio (Kali) Penwell, Corbin Seay, Manuel (Shannon) Gonzales, and Tyler (Nattali) Phillips; grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Penwell, Jarlissa Raelynn Maker, Jordan Eldon Penwell, Diamond Mae Penwell, Hallie Joe Penwell, Hayden Mae Penwell, The Penwell Twins arriving in June, Alei'ah Gonzales, Demi Gonzales, Braxton Gonzales, Rayne Phillips, and Skye Phillips; great-grandson, Jeremiah Paul Howard; siblings, Homer (Kathy) Penwell, David Stolzenburg, Frank (Bernice) Stolzenburg, Ella Jean (Jerry) Howell, Hazel (Lamond) Poole, Sherry DeWitt, and Ruth Ann Penwell; and special friends, Jodi Phillips, Joey Phillips, and Charles Ward. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at the Washington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
