ROBERT LEE BOLENDER JR., age 55, of Washington CH, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:22 a.m. at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born on November 19, 1961 in Jackson County to Robert L. and Mary Boyd Bolender. Robert had been a member of the Hickory Lane Church of Christ. He was most recently employed by Star One in Canal Winchester. Robert enjoyed going to the auction house and flea markets, singing, but mostly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Robert T. and Elizabeth Bolender, and James F. "Fred" and Kathryn Boyd.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Bolender; children, Shannon Bolender, Bradley (Kelly) Bolender, and Tannya Smith (Adam Lightle); grandchildren, Kimberly, Levi, Emily, Eliza, Jonathon, Cheyanne, Camron, Gabrial, and McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Zoey, and Connor; siblings, Joyce (Tim) Calentine, Jana (Roy) Knisley, Gloria (David) Potter, Scott (Lori) Bolender, and Lori (Jim) VanDyke; special friend, Josh Smith; and his loving canine companion, Spirit. Also surviving are several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Skaggs officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4-7:00 p.m.
