ROBERT L. CALENTINE, age 88, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 7:35 a.m. at Court House Manor.

He was born on April 11, 1930 in Athens County, Ohio to Harvey and Ethel Brown Calentine. He was a 1948 graduate of Athens High School. After high school, he attended Arkansas State College where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Education; he then went on to receive his Master's Degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Robert proudly served his country in the US Army Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He had taught school for over thirty years in the Washington Court House City School District. Robert attended the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching old westerns, old cars, and being with his family.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Lamkin Calentine, whom he married on September 25, 1954; children, Tim (Joyce) Calentine of Washington CH, Richard "Rick" (Kristen) Calentine of Bedford, Indiana, and Patty (Earl) Monroe of Washington CH; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. In keeping with Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place.
