ROBERT MILTON COPELAND, age 73, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 4:20 a.m. at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1941 in Peebles, Ohio to the late Leslie Raymond and Mary Donna McAllister Copeland. He had worked for 23 years with Arrow Concrete in Columbus as a truck driver and 20 years at Willis Lumber as a lumber handler. He was a member of the Church of Christ on SR 38, he loved woodworking, fishing, he was a great story teller and loved animals. Robert is survived by his wife, Carol K. McCoy Copeland, whom he married on August 12, 1961; his children Grachelle (Roland) James of Columbus and Bruce A. (Maggie) Copeland of West Milton; grandson Caleb Copeland and granddaughter Kaitlyn Copeland; brother William (Judy) Copeland and sister Sherry (Dan) Gammon both of Peebles; sisters-in-law Peg Terry of Vandalia and Beverly (Don) Hudson of West Virginia and brother-in-law Bob (Yoly) McCoy of California as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends and neighbors. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ on SR 38 with John Odell and Walter Tolley officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Locust Grove Cemetery of Peebles.
