ROBERT LEE EVERHART, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 12:30 a.m. at his home. He had been in failing health for the past year. He was born on July 28, 1932 in Ross County to Herbert and Minnie Dawes Everhart. He retired from Cudahays after 26 years of service. He was well known for his farming, his love for livestock and attending auctions. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, one grandchild, two great-grandchildren, one daughter-in-law and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sword Everhart, whom he married on February 14, 1979; his children Stacy Everhart and friend Rodney Knisley, Minnie (Harold) Chaney, Brenda (David) Estlilette and Randy Everhart; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters Betty (Clarence) Jones and Mary (William) Havens as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. He is also survived by his beloved Shih-tzu, Sassy. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Mell Wickenseimer officiating and burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
