ROBERT LON KIMMEY, age 64, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at his home after a brave and courageous battle with cancer and ALS.

He was born on September 25, 1959 in Fayette County to the late Robert Eugene Kimmey and Wanda Lovan (Pollard) Gorman. He attended Miami Trace High School and later obtained his GED. Robert retired from Fiber-Tech Industries, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in his flower bed, tinkering with his truck, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Kimmey, and stepfather, Paul Gorman.

Survivors include his wife, Renita Gale (Sturgill) Kimmey, whom he married on December 28, 1979; his sons, Robbie L. Kimmey, and Rocky A. Kimmey; grandchildren, Isaac, Clayton, Lilly, and Ivy Kimmey, Hailie (Dante) McMurray, Carter, Chloe, Trayton, Aiden, and Owen Kimmey; and brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Pam Kimmey. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating.
