ROBERT L. LOWE, age 75, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wright Patterson Medical Center. He was born on September 15, 1940 in Central Station, West Virginia to the late Claude and Mary Dillon Lowe. He was a 1958 graduate of Parkersburg High School and had also attended the University of Wisconsin. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and retired as a helicopter technician. He also worked for Montgomery Security, French's Hardware and also was a proud member of the Fayette County Honor Guard. He was a life member of the VFW #4963, a past member of the VFW #3964 and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the great outdoors and loved spending time with his family and his six shih-tuzs. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Foster Lowe, whom he married on February 22, 1973; his children Roger (Sheila) Lowe of Alaska and Cynthia (Kurt) Krueger of Washington CH; several grand and great-grandchildren; siblings Jerry (Judy) Lowe of Florida, Mike (Tammy) Lowe and Randy Lowe all of West Virginia; Aunt and Uncle Shirley and Thomas Snyder of Massilon; cousins Joyce and Lowell Hollis; sister-in-law Deborah (Nick) Heleg of Illinois, Sonya Foster of Florida as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Garren officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until the time of the service. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
