ROGER DEAN EAST, age 76, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at his home.

He was born on April 4, 1950 in Washington CH to the late Russell Dean and Carmelia Ann (Paul) East. He was a graduate of Washington High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Roger retired in 2015 from Miami Trace Schools where he had worked in maintenance for many years; he also worked part-time at Club Apartments doing maintenance work and retired from there in 2025. His family described him as “selfless” and was always putting others first. He enjoyed traveling, watching Ohio State Football, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacqueline (Doyle) East, whom he married on May 12, 1972.

Survivors include his children, Brian Scott East, and Crystal Marie Carey; grandchildren, Derrick Anthony Burbridge and his fiancée, Chelsie Marie Utley, Madison Lee Carey, and Lauren Olivia Carey; great-grandchildren, Michael Carson Hall, Rylie Jo McGraw, Brayden Dean Monroe, Presley Sue Monroe, and Blake Charles Burbridge; and siblings, Doug (Bev) East, Lori (John) Marcum, Debbie (Dave) Blakeley, and Randy (Kathy) East. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
