ROMA ANN WRIGHT, age 79, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12:19 a.m. at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center.
She was born on February 18, 1938 in DeGraff, Ohio to Harold and Dorothy Ellen Friend Clark. She was a 1956 graduate of Tecumseh High School. She had worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, 3-C Florist of London, worked as a cook at Midway School, was an Amway distributor, and also worked at Life Ambulance as a dispatcher. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, and a member of the Euchre card club of Washington CH. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Solitaire, enjoyed crocheting and a lot of people benefited from her skill; she was a sports enthusiast and dearly loved her family and extended family.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Brenda) Wright, Kim (Randy) Welsh, Harry Wright, and Tammy (Todd) White; 30 grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Bonnie) Clark and Stanley (Sue) Clark as well as extended family, Frank White, Nancy Sparks, Robert and Carol White, Mark White, Bev and Tony King, Frankie and Jess White and families. Also surviving are special friends, Carolyn Hurles, Kristi Downing, Ollie, and Tom and Joyce Lloyd.
Roma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John W. Wright, her children Patti Bennett, Gaylene Robinson, Phyllis (Harold) Calendar, Mary (Harold) Longberry, Barbara Brakall, and Roy Wright, grandson Jeromy Swyers, and daughter-in-law Mary Wright.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the South Solon Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3-8:00 p.m.
