She was a 1967 graduate of Washington Senior High School. Rose was a compassionate woman with an abundant love for her Lord and Savior, her family, her country and her community. She was a homemaker, nurse, caregiver and artist. She enjoyed life and being around others and also had a great sense of humor. She had attended the First Church of God; she was a member of the Autism Society and was a leader in the Girl Scouts organization for over 25 years. Rose was a strong advocate for the republican party and for her community and attended Washington City Council meetings regularly. She had also worked as a special education aide for Washington City Schools.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Glen L. Hazelbaker, daughter; Lori-lea (Chaney) Baird and son-in-law Michael Baird, son; Robert Hazelbaker and grandson; Ryan Baird. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patricia Bellar.
In keeping with Rose's wishes, cremation will take place. The family will gather at a later date for a small private ceremony. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.summersfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, Rose wanted you to give to your favorite charity. Her only request was that everyone learn to love each other.
