ROSE MAE MOSSBARGER, age 71, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Adena Fayette Medical Center. Her death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born on February 25, 1952 in Pike County to the late Claude and Rosa (Conley) Adams. Rose was a homemaker and stay-at-home Mother. She enjoyed sewing, collecting roosters, raising cactuses, and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Adams, and Johnny Adams.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jeffery Lee Mossbarger, whom she married on June 24, 1988; her children, Gary Jones and Garnet Keaton; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Campbell, Shelby Jones, Lucy Jones, Jessica (Justin) Cortellesi, Laukrisha Conley, and Shania (Thomas) Conley; great-grandchildren, Sora, Raven, Noveanna, and Luke; and siblings, Virgie (William) Montgomery, Hazel Ingel, Floyd, Sr. (Carol) Adams, Brenda (Randy) Vernatter, Charles Adams, David (Becky) Adams, and Linda (Eddie) Justice. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held at the Summers Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Brown officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m.
