ROXANNA L. "ROXY" HOLBROOK, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at her daughter's home in Michigan.

She was born on April 28, 1937 in Washington CH to the late Fred G. and Nadine E. (Lickorish) Rost. In addition to her parents, Roxy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Cecil Holbrook, and sister, Judy Tibbs.

Survivors include her loving and devoted children, David Holbrook and partner, Carola Spurlock of Loveland, Ohio, Karl and Kathy Holbrook of Washington CH, Alan Holbrook and partner, Bonnie Christy of Dayton, Ohio, Sheri and Keith Pennington of Morenci, Michigan, and Bob and Susie Holbrook of Clayton, North Carolina. Roxy was a proud grandmother to fifteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Roxy spent most of her life in Washington CH with a couple childhood years in Lake Tahoe and her final years in Michigan. She dedicated her life to her family as a housewife and mother; she found joy in her work at the former Steen's Department Store and later at the Fayette County Court House.

Roxy was active in her church and loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, musicals, shows, and plays. She volunteered at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid Ohio State fan. Her warmth, devotion, and sweet spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place Church (240 Courthouse Pkwy, Washington CH, OH 43160) with Joy Stanforth officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place on Tuesday at the Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, Kentucky.
