ROY EDWARD DOUGLAS, age 74 of Greenfield, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. Born on February 11, 1947 in Elwood, Indiana, he was the son of the late Eddie and Patsy McGuire Douglas. On July 10, 1977 he married the former Sharon Kay Lewis who preceded him in death on August 14, 2019.

Survivors include his children; Debbie Taylor of Hillsboro, Tami Peed of Washington Court House, Amy Mason of Hillsboro, Jeff Douglas of Greenfield and Jason Douglas of Chillicothe, thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers; Tom, Terri, David and Steve Douglas and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Roy was preceded in death by two infant brothers that passed away at birth.

Roy was a graduate of Miami Trace High School. He had an interest in semi-trucks and had worked as a truck driver for most of his life. Roy also enjoyed watching pro-wrestling.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Caskey officiating. Burial to follow in the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
